A few mods on this one gents.
Love the thermostat in the middle of the top radiator hose.

HUGE asking price for condition.

That's a coolant filter in the top hose. I use them in my cars.Excellent, especially after a system clean and flush. Stops the loose debris blocking the radiator.

Seems a lot of work for little or no reward. The SUs work very well in my opinion.

If one can bear to watch the clips, he intended to have a turbo blow through the carbi. Then butchered the boot to mount a radiator. I had to stop watching at that point. I don't really like it but the car was probably past recovery (at their current value). At one point he refers to the engine having been being burnt.
I have the remains of SBH4346 sitting outside after the previous owner cut the front spring towers out and threw them away, if anyone wants to play a similar game? Anyone have a spare Merlin?

I have spoken to a chap who had fitted a Holley 850 double pumper to his SSII.
The main thing it did, was completely remove that low rev, minimum throttle input, creamy high torque due to the long intake tracks we all know and love.
It actually drank more fuel than it did with the SU's

I'm disappointed it cant be sent to Ireland Jeff

Omar,

I have to agree that I wouldn't take the SU's off as they have like 4 parts and work great.

I however, can see the turbo car needing one because the SU's wouldn't really work with a pressurized intake because there would be no vacuum to control the piston. Also, while I am sure there is some hot SU's around there is basically an unlimited amount holly options to be had.

I have to say that 850 is probably not the carb for a rolls v8. You'd have to do the math, but I would think a 650 vacuum secondary unit is closer to what you would want.

Patrick,

I did like that he added a manual to his car.

Gotta love the radiator hoses and piping that run to the boot over the roof.
The turbo outlet jutting out of the guard.
The massive intercooler and piping out front.
It kinda looks good for what it is, but I cant seen to find any video on it running or driving etc.
