Silver Shadow SRH 17968 owned and loved since new!
Hi All
Anybody had any experience in washing/dry cleaning those lovely deep pile carpets?
Mine are red and in good condition, so if there is any doubt, I'll probably just leave them be.

Patrick,

Don't dry clean them. If they're not showing dark patches from long term dirt exposure shaking them out and then vacuuming them is sufficient.

If they have dark patches you can definitely wash the wool pile. I believe this has been discussed many times in the past, and there are several different techniques for doing so.

Thank you Brian. Found a wealth of info as you say. I was limiting my search to "Shadow" topic rather than "all".
Thanks again
