Trevor, I don't know if those dimensions are the same as on a 4.25 Mk VI. If so K & N do an element which fits neatly in place of the wire mesh and will not only provide vastly better filtration that just about any other paper element but is unlikely ever to need replacing. You may be able to use the measurements to obtain a match on the K & N website.

ITG filters do a foam assembly for S1. Pergaps they may be able to help. |

in my search for alternate filers, I founf that a Wix 46078 air filter will fit for our assemblies if you are willing to give up the original metal cage. It has a built in mesh around the paper fiter medium which serves to prevent collapse. The ones I ordered from Fleetsales.com here in the us have a red "rubber" ring at each end...but at least the filter itself is not pink.

Try Fram CA662PL or Spectre #4806. The Fram is a close fit in the orifice.

I don't know how much room for manoeuvre you have but it's possible that K & N filter numbers E-3270 ( OD-161.925mm; ID-127mm; H-82.55mm) or E-2430 (OD-152.4mm; ID-107.95mm; H- 82.55mm) might work.

Looks like it's problem solved Flexolite are offering a suitable one for £59 that is washable and black in colour. Found this on the KDA 132 site in an article by Norman Geeson Thanks to all for their suggestions |

Trevor these are the same as they supplied for my S1. I have been using one for 10+ years, easy to clean, and effective and in my opinion well worth the cost. |

Trevor, this may "fit" by compressing the rubber seal against the silencer and endplate (assuming it is the same principle as the S1) but I cannot see that it will be aesthetically acceptable. Mark |

The Fram-europe site suggests that part, or at least the number, is obsolete.

On the other hand the same website lists a Rolls-Royce 6.0L Flying Spur as a model!

Actually it is the same filter, originally made for Atlas Copco compressors, along with the Spectre #4806 mentioned above. The "extra" dimension is in the silicone edge seals that give it increased sealing around the edges to prevent side leakage. The silicone is squeezed when you push it in as I have done with my cars.
