Hi guys,

Anybody know a part number for a modern upgrade for the capacitor?

Cheers

I borrowed the Bosch catalogue to see what was available, nothing looks nearly as big as the one on our bentleys, will a smaller unit make a difference?

Cheers

Hi Marty,
Its not the size that matters!
I have been using Bosch GD11E for 15 years and 80,00 miles with no points burning at all and that is the measure of it.
Sure it won't get marks at the concourse, but my cars are for driving.

If the old unit is large enough to be drilled out it should be possible to fit the new small one inside it.

Martin,
Ristes Motors in Nottingham (UK) are remanufacturing this part. Try contacting them as they are to the original specification.
