This week in Oshkosh, WI. is the annual air show. This is the first time two B-29's have flown together in decades. It's quite a site. I thought everyone might be interested.

Mark,

Sure would have liked to have scene that.

I used to live in WI, and the week before Airventure you would see all kinds of stuff flying up the coast.

My two favorites were a low flying B2 which might be stealthy on radar, it's crazy loud in terms of noise. The other was when a group of 4 p51's flew over, two broke formation and put on a little show. It was great to hear those engines straining.

Parick,

Nice video

Ross, I work in Bedford, VA. near the D-Day Memorial. Every Anniversary of D-Day and every Memorial day we get a flyover by at least one P-51, Awesome sight and sounds.

Thanks for posting that Mark.
Beautiful aircraft.
I wonder how much of their DNA is in current Boeing aircraft?

I have to admit I have never seen such graceful take off and landing as these amazing machines, the airspeed seemed not fast at all, just "up" they went. Fantastic!!

Great short factory video Patrick L.
Love seeing the ladies all working on those machines.
At time of war everyone does their bit.
Is that still the location of current Boeing production?

The camera on the overhead crane was a great idea.

Robert,

If they were joined by a Mosquito you'd need a cigarette afterwords.

Ross

The DH Mosquito is my favourite war bird.

They also had a Hurricane but it had to fly off to get spares for another Lancaster (the Canadian one).

The display was meant to be a Spit , Hurricane, Lancaster -City of Lincoln- 2nd Canadian Lancaster

I have had also fighter jets at 500mph and 300ft fly over then you get the roar which makes the hair on me neck stand up. I am 197ft above sea level (sat nav).

In north Wales is a valley where the RAF fly jets at high speed and one can climb to the top of the hills and look down at the jets going fast through the valley.

I would love to have go in a jet 50ft at 600mph

I'm with you Ross and Robert.
The Mosquito is amazing.
Anything that runs 2 Merlins in an aircraft that light has got to be awesome.

When entering "the Pacific" part of the Australian War Memorial, this is what you walk under.

Seen at the Moscow airshow last week. Most unusual flying machine ever!
