A group of owners for a couple of years have been getting together at various locations in Eastern Australia to share their technical knowledge and experience particularly with Silver Shadows and Silver Spirits. Much of this has been recorded in a monthly news sheet ‘Tee One Topics’ . This is now available on subscription for AUD20 per year and all back issues can be bought on a CD for AUD10. The March issue has just been posted and for interest addresses among other topics, adjustment of Saginaw boxes and diagnosis of worn steering, power steering adaptions, technical detail on the new Phantom, Shadow body ventilation, sunroof drainage, S series car power steering fittings, early Shadow hydraulics, four wheel shock damper controls on a Silver Cloud III and removal of Shadow tie rod ends. For more information contact Neil Garvey at MariaNeil@bigpond.com.

Just a note to say that the April issue is out. More on the new Phantom, leaking Saginaw steering boxes, reproductions of ventilated discs for Shadows and drums for Clouds. A lot of words about getting into a Cloud door, spark plug changing on the early vee eights, lower seal changing in the early Shadow box, and overhauling the steering Detroit joint. |
