First, Alexander Hoar deserves credit for this find. Because it's so significant I thought it warranted a thread of its own here. For those who have had their 35DE8 ignition module fail it's well worth a look at the article: Lucas Opus 35DE8 Ignition Module: Repairing and Modifying the ignition pick-up module The general approach has been to fit a Pertronix or other electronic ignition module, but this gives the option of maintaining "repaired originality" and for those who like working with a soldering iron and soldering wick this could be a fun project.
