I'm seeking assistance in sourcing a front valance/air dam for a Shadow II and a rear window, if possible. Any suggestions? |

Hi Tony, Where in the world are you located - it is hard for our contributors to suggest suitable sources without this information. The most likely source will be one of the R-R/B wreckers [dismantlers in polite company] in the UK or USA where significant numbers of cars meet this fate due to corrosion problems forcing them off the road. In Australia, the majority of cars heading for the wrecking yard will have heavy accident damage and have been "written-off" as irrepairable by the insurer. As a consequence, the parts you are seeking may be hard to obtain. |

Hi David, I'm in Brisbane, I know these items might be hard to obtain. I was hopeful that someone might know of a vehicle that was being wrecked somewhere in the country. Regards |

Hi Tony, Try Neil McLean in Perth - unfortunately I am away from my archives and do not have the contact details but a search of the Yellow Pages on the internet should reveal all. |

I MIGHT (Maybe!) be able to locate and supply a FIBREGLASS (reproduction) valance/air dam (MUCH cheaper than the original!) however, as already noted, shipping of these unusually dimensioned items is problematical. Tony, please indicate your location as requested above. Thank you. Ps; Window glass NOT so easy! Glass may not be as difficult as you think; try the following link [usual disclaimers apply]: http://sydney.citysearch.com.au/E/V/SYDNE/0023/61/39/1.html Ralph Moore AutoGlass is an automotive glass specialist who specialise in hard-to-make windows. Hi Tony. I have been down the glass road, they are available in WA and in the UK with wreckers happy to pack and ship at a good price. Send me an email if you require more . |
