I am about to attempt to insert a picture into this thread (fingers crossed), it tells the story.

One consolation - being a R-R; the standard drive train will be more than adequate for the power output .

Custom made for a 70's pimp

That is one ugly customisation. I love his request - "no time wasters please"

My sons think I a disrespectful to Mr Royce for having my Labrador (and hairs)in my car. But this man has broken all the rules.

Could we organise our British Brethren to call on this cad? Or can we buy the car and hide it?

After we have recovered our gastic system and calmed the nerves with several fingers of Balveney resign yourselves to more of this stuff. There are already engines transferable to these cars without resorting to wobblers and the inbuilt problem of providing hydraulic pressure is easily solved with a very quiet efficient electric pump that can be bolted to the bulkhead.

At least this one looks like a repaint and hub caps could be decent.

Can we find out the name & address of the person responsible for that paint job? I'd like to take out a contract on him!

And another on the one who made the 'shaker' blower in the OP.

Meant with a repaint could be once again a nice example.

Am I missing the humor? Or am I rightly both frightened and mortified at Mr. Simon's enquiry regarding aftermarket wheels?

The centres are 5/159.9, similar to those of some 4WD vehicles (Suzuki). The offset with 7½ inch rims is 40 Positive. The offset required varies with the rim width of course.

I bought mine (Turbo R) from Crewe, and they are expensive. However, Wheel Conceps offers a wide range, although many are overbling. New, expect to pay a minimum of A$1,500 each if you import them from the UK yourself, and maybe more than A$3,000 locally. Desirable secondhand wheels are maybe 2/3 the price if you are prepared to take the risk. However, the ugly original Turbo R 7½J15 alloys are worth nothing secondhand (I gave mine away, glad to clear the space, when I bought my 7½J17s).

http://www.wheelconcepts.com/BENTLEY.html

My 1954 R-Type has the same 5/159.9 centres as the later cars including SCs, SYs and SZs. I had a set of aftermarket steel wheels made up in Sydney new using Suzuki centres and 6½J15 rims to suit proper tyres. The wheels were inexpensive, but you do need hubcaps.

RT.

Richard, I have a 4wd Suzuki. Here in the States, people say that some of the Ford 4wd truck wheels are suitable for 'stepping-up' the Suzuki. In any case, here such wheels are quite inexpensive. If those vehicles have a presence in Australia, they may present another alternative for sturdy, albeit ugly, wheels for emergency use.

I have most of whats needed for a CNC water jet machine. In the future I'll be able to make my own parts, even engine blocks. Discovered my new to me Spur III has more rubber tire selection over my older one. But on the latter, thinking of having these people make me something. They'll do custom one offs at reasonable rates on their water jet.
