Has anyone installed an air conditioning system in a 1953 Bentley R or Silver Dawn? If so, what parts did you use? ie, compressor, fan belt ect. How about a conversion to an alternator? Thanks.

If you fit Air con then modification to alternator would be desirable due to the extra electric load however the dynamo will cope but be getting near its ability ( Dynamos do not like giving max out for extended periods and tend to wear brushes fast ) The compressor to use would be the GM as fitted to the Shadow and other RR cars. Tip when designing the brackets for the compressor get the drive belt first - and pick a common size. The numbers on a belt relate to its section and the circumference of the belt. This job has been done before, so it should be striaght forward.
