Pat, what is the chassis number of the Phantom VI illustrated? It would be interesting to see exactly what colour that hide is, or if it was a specially ordered colour. Thanks, John |

Hi Mark yes you are correct the car was owned by the late Lady Beaverbrook. She purchased the car new in 1970 as a owner and breeder of race horses Lady B commissioned the car to sport her racing colours. Price £13,399. The car is stated as engine size being 6230cc so am not sure when the engine size changed on these cars. Last Phantom car left the factory in 1992 it seems. This car can be veiwed at Beaulieu National Motor Museum Trust. Bequest of Lady Beaverbrook.

The engine remained 6230cc and 4 speed auto until 1978. The Queens car PGH101 being the first fitted with the turbo 400 auto 6750 cc engine and the Shadows high pressure hydraulics for braking. |
