Somebody asked me for a list of the spanners I offered for free - I can't remember who it was - so here it is. Whitworths ********** DOUBLE-ENDED RING :- ELORA 7/16 + 1/2 WILLIAMS 7/16 + 1/2 BRITOOL 1/2 + 9/16 3/8 + 7/16 BEDFORD 3/8 + 7/16 GORDON 3/8 + 7/16 1/8 + 5/16 (x2) OPEN-ENDED :- SNAIL 7/16 + 9/16 (x2) 1/2 + 7/16 1/4 + 5/16 GARRINGTON 7/16 + 1/2 1/4 + 5/16 GORDON 5/8 + 11/16 9/16 + 5/8 BRITOOL 5/16 + 3/8 (x2) 7/16 + 1/2 1/2 + 9/16 EAGLE 7/16 + 1/2 A/Fs ************ OPEN-ENDED :- SNAIL 15/16 + 1 1/8 7/16 + 1 1/8 SAE 3/8 + 7/16 Blank ? 7/16 W + 1 1/8 A/F The "Snail" spanners are particularly "robust" but all are heavy except the smaller ones, so posting might be expensive??? Nobody has expressed an interest - do I have to take them down to the "Recycling Centre" to get rid of them - seems a shame? I have accumulated a few more since the last post. Alan D. |

Alan, they sure are hard to re-home. I know as I have some that have been in gumtree for months. If you don't really care for money may I suggest something better than binning them. Do you know anyone heading to the Federal Rally in May at Noosa? Bag them up and send them. Someone may give you a few dollars, or as I did at the All British Day up here, just give them away to some poor un-expecting enthusiast. Perhaps there is an event closer to home which may have a need for Whitworth. |

Thanks for the idea, Jason. One of the Beaulieu meetings should find a mark. |

I believe that my brother used Whitworth spanners when working a 1960s Bristol bus built in England belonging to a society. I could be wrong. |
