I have always brought my cars home and disconnected the battery on a full charge. I have never had a battery issue except with the stupid temp sensor on the Shadow II reg failing in the low setting. That was disconnected years ago with no further problems. Now with Melbourne's congested roads and driving standards at an all time low, I am finding less and less motivation to take the cars out. I have installed a solar trickle charging system to take care of the batteries. A 100W panel on the shed roof A reg on the wall. 14.4 V on an overcast winters day. A slave battery on the floor to cushion the reg. Each car gets an Anderson plug, impossible to get polarity wrong. A 0.3v drop on the long lead Suns going down.
