Hello Jim here all the way from England,Really enjoy reading all your tales about Rolls Royces down under. How many members are there in the RROC?I am a member of the RREC here.I own a shell grey Shadow 2 which I think is in good condition and has behaved itself so far.....Is your club dedicated to the older cars? Or is there a fair share of newer ones ? Keep up the good work,Will be in touch. Jim |

Welcome Jim. Although we are on the other side of the world, there are a suprising number of R-R/Bs here, those that were Australian delivered when new, generally being rust free (as is my 1970 Shadow) due to our overall drier climate. Although I do not have figures to indicate the national model/mix, I feel that another member might be able to furnish that information if you require it. In brief, you can see S/Ghosts (circa 1911) through to the current Phantom & Continental GT, 126 of the latter being delivered here to date. Our major cities are of course home to most of the cars including our professional specialist repairers, some of whom regularly support our technical forum. As I also have an "R" type Bentley, I am occasionally drawn to the British BDC (Bentley Drivers Club) which I find to be an excellent source of technical information. Thank you for your interest, and look after your Shadow 11!. |
