I got a sample of adhesive heat shrink. I connected two pieces of garden hose together and it doesn't leak and the hoses won't come apart.
I put an inch long copper straight connector inside to support the hoses.

It has no clips and looks streamlined. Very tidy.

The water pressure was 2 psi. So I used air to 15 psi on top of water and the joint held but the hose was showing signs of about to burst.

My next experiment is to try rubber to metal pipe. And if I can get another free bit. See what happens if I bend a hose first then heat shrink it will it stay bent like a moulded hose.

Also I have been trying to make ribbon cable by using separate wires and laminating them. For my new radio set up. Ribbon cable can be brought but the colours aren't not DIN. So far I've made scrap.
