UK only applies to this posting. Cellulose paint can only be used in certain conditions by law. One of these is the restoration of historic and classic vehicles. There are others which are not automotive related. In law a historic vehicle is one that is 40 or more years old. Classic cars are not defined in law. However the classic car rank and file and AA and RAC and motor sports and police and local council all agree that 25 years to 40 years is a classic car. What's this means is that a 24 year old vehicle would be illegal and one must wait until next year.
