Hi Brian, As a teenager, I saw the namesake for this car installed along the perimeter of the Williamtown RAAF base. I often wondered if one was ever launched to make sure they worked or could catch the Mirage fighters that were the RAAF's front-line combat aircraft in the 1960's. Of course, I am referring to the UK Bloodhound surface to air anti-aircraft missile. The latest Bloodhound car looks like an interesting project - hopefully raising the necessary funds for the project will be successful. |
