All, please excuse my ignorance...which models had a vented hubcap with the additional screw-down fixing?

Pretty sure they're from a Silver Shadow.
The bolt hole was an option, but I'm not exactly sure how it was implemented.

"Pretty sure they're from a Silver Shadow."

I once had a Spirit with that feature. The hole is occupied by a bolt with "Security" head with a wavy-line pattern impressed into the head and a corresponding key to engage it. There is a threaded boss welded to the wheel pressing to suit. I assume it was also available on Shadows???

Thanks, I see flying spares offers a locking screw kit and key for later cars... i only saw this once on a '60s Phantom, and there it looked slightly DIY.
As you say, it could be an option for those driving in less salubrious neighbourhoods...

It's just occurred to me that if a previous owner lost the tool to fit the bolts it may have been expensive or difficult to get a replacement.
Are they all the same "code"???
Are there screwed bosses on the wheel disks?

Alan YES There is welded boss on the wheel that the screw goes into and a finger on the inside of the hubcap right next to the valve stem hole that matches a hole in the wheel to help line up the hubcap upon installation.
