Dear sir I am in the process of purchasing a corniche hard top the owner says it is a 1975 model but the rego says 73 is the date stamped anywhere on the body so I can put my mind at rest, any help appreciated. Regards, Rick |

Rick, The chassis number will determine exactly the year of manufacture. For right hand drive cars manufactured in 1973, the chassis number should be in the range CRH14500 to CRH17500, approximately. A 1975 car would be in the range CRH20000 to CRH22500, approximately. |

Rick, In reply, your chassis / serial no of 14319, would make this car a 1972 model. |

The chassis number is found on a cast plate on the firewall, inside the engine bay, on the side where the brake reservoir is. |
