Good day

I would like to take the rear dampers apart to inspect them and replace the seals.

The workshop manual is mentioning a hook wrench (RH8051) that is needed to remove the ram housing.

Could anyone give me a description of this tool, including size. I would like to try and make one or see if one can be ordered for my by the hardware store. Maybe Gedore or one of those companies makes them.

Here is a picture of the tool normally used. It is called here a 'C' spanner. The 'hook bit' falls into the notch of the ring and you then undo it.

You will be very lucky if this works because corrosion gets into this area and make s removal very difficult. If this is the case get back to us.
