Just bought teh car and my owners manual says 87/91 octane fuel is required. Since teh engine has a compression ratio of only 8.0/1, it should be OK to use 87 pump octane regular unleaded fuel shouldn't it? The 87 and 91 both being in my manual is a bit confusing, because I don't know which rating is on the pumps in the US. I don't think it is RON (research Octane number), but I am not sure. thx |
