Hello All, An acquaintance picked this up in a collection of RR/Bentley tools most of which are, I think, from the SY era, but could be mixed. I have absolutely no idea what this thing is, or if it's actually a RR/Bentley tool. The hex side fits perfectly in an 11/16" socket. If anyone knows what this thing is, and whether it's actually an RR/Bentley workshop tool, please share. Brian

Hi Brian, I think it's a fixing. I want to say something like SZ torque arm, tie rods, or there abouts. It will probably come to me in bed at about 2am Nope . . just before I pressed send . . . Prop shaft bolts for a Cloud maybe. |

Paul gets the bottle of fine single malt Scotch, Brian. I get a commendation for being more accurate in that they are used on the CV joint behind the Jerkomatic gearbox used on the S Series cars. There was simply no room for conventional bolts - those were used on the other two joints. |

Paul & Bill, Thanks to you both, gentlemen!! This thing didn't look like a tool to me, but it also has the correct "look" to be a part from a RR or Bentley. The metal finish screams RR/Bentley to me. Brian |
