Does anybody have any information in rectifying uneven idling for a solex carburettor for a 1979 Corniche MK2.

From a distance this is a bit impractical. If the reason for the problem is not obvious your best bet is to take it to an engine diagnosis specilist and get him to put his meters over it. This will show furstly whether it is fuel or ignition. One area that often confounds me is high tension leads which are not easy nor cheap to replace but if they are faulty the diagnosis will clearly show where the problem is. Fuel starvation/flooding caused by faulty needle valves, blocked filters sluggish pumps can also cause strange idling as can air leaks in the various servo hoses.
