Ok, i have a problem. My current fuel economy on my shadow 2 has dropped to appalling. Could my choke be sticking on? How do i check it? I would say that 40 litres per 100kms is enough to be concerned, unless my fuel guage has suddenly become inaccurate | ||

Paul/ I must say I am amazed that the car would run with that much petrol coursing through it. There would at the least be extremely rough running and heaps of black exhaust. The choke is easy to check as the lever for it is on the side of the intake. If it is pointing along the 'pipe' it is open. Best you fill the tank run it for 100 miles and refill it then do your sums. Never rely on the fuel gauge for consumption performance! |
