I've done the outer seals on the forward pump (had to roll the A/C pump out of the way) and it was a fairly easy job. Now when I'm looking at the rear pump to do the same I see that it looks as if the outer sleeve can't be raised up and off the pump without REMOVING THE ENTIRE INTAKE MANIFOLD! Someone please tell me what I am seeing is not how it works! It rally doesn't look like the pump outer shell will clear the intake manifold pulling up and off. Thank for any reply | ||

I replaced the outer seals on the rear pump on my 1983 Silver Spur without removing the entire pump. Had to remove the distributor cap which gave just enough room to undo the inlet/outlet connections and slide the pump outer casing off. | ||

Sorry for the delay I have been out of the country and very busy for months. Glad to hear it can be done. It looked like it might not be able to get it out and I didn't want to disassemble everything and then find that out. The front one was easy |
