The old lady has been laid up for longer than i wanted it to be, Covid and illness being the problems
She was just reversed inot the garage and was turned over every month or so'just to check'
The months turned into a year and following on from a recent posting a new battery has been fitted. Now the problem putting the key into the ignition there is a fast ticking noise from mid dashboard area. The engine turns over but doesnt fire. The fuel gauge needle sits on the empty
line so will chuck a couple of gallons in for'piece of mind' there is fuel in the tank. If that doesnt cure the problem, and idea what it could be. The weird thing is the ticking noise starts as the key is inserted, and before turning the key either to start or the acc position. I am hoping it might be the fuel pump relay ( is there one) looking for fuel.but if that isnt it, any ideas on what it could be?. There will be a sep post about the seat controls, but one thing at a time. MCH33893 TIA
