Has anyone used Pipercross, K&N or ITG filters in place of the flat paper one on injected cars ? All filters are for Volvo 960 2.9. |

Sorry Cliff, I overlooked that USA and Japan cars had injection pre 20000 series, unlike UK which had carbs up to 20000 series. The flat filter is post 20000 series cars in the UK, not sure about USA and Japan |

The change in the USA cars was not too well documented on forums when I went looking for a filter. Found lots of listing showing the flat one for the 86 but of course MINE was different"-) Running changes as they were made (well noted in the manuals) Seems the colonies were further ahead of the game than the Mother country! |
