Aside that I asume the VIN needs a little correction as no ZZ model can be found in the describing text of Richard! (Hi from Munich to CH!) I guess it should read SCAZS... Obviously I never read very carefully in my RR handbook. Now I have to admit, that I assumed that every car's handbook is issued with the appropriate VIN of that specific car. (Would have bee a nice personal feature though...) After surfin' the net and ebay in particular for handbooks and after reading mine more thoroughly I found out that it's a VIN range only imprinted in the handbook. So I surely don't own the very first one. :-) Why am I commenting? I was about to give the handbook to someone with a Spirit/Mulsanne since it's not quite the correct one for my Spur. So I'm still looking for a Series 1 Silver Spur (1982) handbook. No, I do not want to spend 180 GBP for it. Regards, Lutz | ||||

Woops. Sorry Lutz. I made a typo mistake in the earlier posting. The document is on this site at: http://rroc.org.au/technical/VIN_SZ_Updated_Sept_06-5389.pdf and shows S C A Z S 0 0 O 0 A C H 0 1 0 0 1 The fifth digit, S, is for all short wheelbase cars before 1987, and all Turbo R (SWB) cars before 1989.
