I need to remove the cruise amp (silver box) on my 89 Turbo R. I have been told it's "near the steering column". Can I remove it by removing the lower knee panel under the steering wheel? The cruise works fine at times. It does exactly as same as on my older Mercedes! I have had success resoldering the contacts!
