All, has anyone put their eyes on the remote control ECU? Manual indicates that it's in the luggage compartment behind the right side panel. I removed the carpeted panel covering the inside of the right side quarter panel and it's for sure not there.

Al, I think it is on top of the fuel tank, left side.

Al, we have fault where car wilkl not lock with remotes. If interior door locking button pushed down doors lock, but if drivers door closed and key turned to lock doors, flashers blink but doors not locking. Have removed unit to look inside. I read? that later cars have battery inside similar to seat memory box. Undertaking further investigation, will report when have something conclusive.

Gordon,

Thanks. I got my car at auction a couple of years ago and it came with only one key and no remotes. I suspect that the alarm module is going off for that reason. This unit is supposed to do away with the module and does not require batteries.

We had a 1990 Japan spec Spur in a couple years ago and the alarm controller was under the dash top roll in the centre. The battery in it was a small lead acid battery.
