Gents....we have the door cards off and I can see three screws attaching the wooden door capping.
Are there any other hidden means of retention....is there some sort hidden gluing going on?

Just sticky gap filler called DumDum! Means you have to "fish" for cross head of screw on CEO you have pulled door seal to one side-approx. midway Down vertical height of wood fillet.
