Hello Chaps, before I start jumping up and down to FS...perhaps some one can enlighten me as to it's operation. I use Windows XP sp111 and in starting the disc, it comes up with nothing....am I holding my mouth wrong or something? |

Yes....as in when you spool it up and it's blank. No files, no instructions, nothing. |

Sounds like a bad disc. (I guess you have tried another disc to test the drive?). Not sure jumping up and down will help apart from being good exercise and being generally amusing to any bystanders :D Drop them an email, I'm sure they will sort it out. |

Yes Paul...have tried alternate discs and all works OK. Michael...good idea....if I had one close by which I don't. It just seems strange to me that the disc should open with nothing on it....as if it hasn't been formatted correctly. I know that it is date sensitive but it's supposed to have a file attached which corrects your PC to an earlier time to allow the disc to operate. |

Good morning Michael....it's a DVD and has the following written on it..... "This disk is date sensitive and will expire but includes a 'run-as-date' utility to prolong lifespan. DVD for use on Windows PC not Mac compatible" TSD6000-DVD IETIS |

Yes Micheal it will play music CD's as well as all DVD formats. My other discs work fine....even my JTIS Jaguar workshop manuals work just fine. This DVD behaves just like an empty one. I will be talking to FS as soon as they open. I have to wait several hours as we are 10 hrs in front of the UK here in dear little Tasmania ;o)) |

Hello Mike....yes, I certainly hope I can get it sorted. It's a little disheartening to fork over $60 for a disc that doesn't work. |

On my laptop I have to change the date every time before using the TSD, I use any date in 2010 and it opens and runs perfectly. As soon as it's 'up' I revert to todays date and there is no further objection from disc or laptop. Have you tried changing the date on the Laptop? You may have done/said and I misread. |

Evening David....no, at this time i have not changed the date as i assumed that would be taken care of the software included on the disc in a foler called 'Run By date' which supposed to do that. By changing the date, do you refer to the PC clock? |

Sorry for the duff gen I was hopeful for a minute. But for future reference, yes, I change the date on the clock to an earlier year and it all works. Again, sorry. |

Hello David....we can but try. I tried each year backwards from 2015-2009 with same results....we'll see what happens with the replacement disc which should arrive in about a week....cheers |

That will not work in this case. It will become obvious why once you have a working copy. Once you have the working copy your current frustration will be a happy memory. Navigating your way around a manual designed with zero intuitivity for a professional workforce to use. Sheer joy. Perseverance and always starting by pressing the VIN button and typing your VIN in first thing will help. Have fun. |

I must admit I LOVE the TSD thing! It is, as you say counter- intuitive but it's half the fun looking for one thing and finding 16 others instead, all of which require further investigation. Of course, it becomes a bit like reading a medical book as you convince yourself that the car is on its last legs with everything worn out while after reading said medical text you know that your time is so limited on this Earth that you will never get to drive it again when in good order |

My version of this disc doesn't have this date problem, and doesn't need "run as date": 1990-2000 TSD6000 Rolls/Bentley Workshop & Parts Manual Set |

Just a little update chaps. The second disc arrived yesterday and displays exactly the same symptoms as the first....so obviously it's incompatible with my system and I shall return both of them for a refund. |
