There exists a contingent of "ECU tweakers" even among owners of cars from Crewe, and this is generally a major undertaking with the original ECU. On rollsroyceforums.com someone just mentioned today that they were using a third party ECU that allows them not only to custom tune things, but to do so easily such that they can "flip flop" their desired settings if they wish to switch from high sport mode back to cruiser mode. The company that makes the unit is called US Shift, part of Bauman Electronic Controls, and the unit that works with the 4L80E is their Quick 4. Brian |
