Gentlemen, Can anyone offer any advice on fixing the loose side mirror glass on my '89 Turbo? The driver's side isn't bad, although when underway, the mirror lens 'vibrates' and blurrs my vision, and it's really bad on the passenger's side. Just wondering how to get that glass off basically, and if the mechanism inside can be repaired or if it has to be replaced. Thanks in advance. |

If it's the same as on my Turbo R the glass is stuck to the tilt assembly backing with adhesive. I had a similar issue with vibration on my drivers side mirror so carefully pried the glass away from the backing with a curved plastic tool and re-attached using fresh strong adhesive strips. It should also be held somewhat in place by the electrical connectors for the heating element too, so take care not to damage these as well as working gently so as not to shatter the glass. Cheers, Al |

do it on a warm day if possible! Or get the hair dryer out if stuck well in some places. |
