Regardless of which setting is made on the function control, even with the upper and lower temps set at min,I still have hot air into the car! The aircon compressor is running and the system has gas pressure in it (170psi highside/10psi lowside)but seems to have little effect.
Any suggestions please?
Thanks Mark

Mark, put the fans on low. move the dials from hot to cold and back whilst listening to see if you can hear any servos operating at the bottom of the centre console.

Is the hot air coming from all outlets?

Thanks Paul, there are noises when the lower temp control is adjusted, but nothing when the upper control is operated.

This is the best trouble shooting guide I know of, especially since you have gauges, since this is for limousines, you can ignore the dual system disclaimers: http://www.manexcorp.com/images/limo_gauge.pdf

Go to their catalog, page 18, you should have 1 of these expansion valves, they could be your problem.

Bill, the guide you list is excellent and the pressure table very useful.
Paul, Used the car today and the climate control worked perfectly ie cold air and both upper and lower temp controls working. The gas pressures are probably about right as the system is on Isceon49 gas(RS24). It appears that the Servo motors or ECU has an intermitent fault which I guess will reoccur sometime!
Thanks for your help Mark
