I need to replace one of the under hood(bonnet) insulating pads on my Spur II. Does anyone know what material they are made of? I'll have to have it custom made. |

Hi Gayle,Try Scotts Old Rubber in Melbourne they have sheets of similar stuff as the oiginal it has a sticky back but you will need the old material as a pattern. Regards Barry |

There are a few upholsterers in OZ who will make them for you using the old ones as a pattern. The essential requirement of the material is to be fireproof. If you are going to do one I suggest you do the lot and stock up on the various fixing bits before you start. |

Hidden somewhere in my archives is a reference to a substitute for the liners - despite much searching, I cannot find it. I think the substitute was welding mats but cannot be certain. |
