Hello
The following is how I was taught to check brake fluid level on a Silver Shadow I, II, Silver Wraith II & Bentley T-Type.
I have spoken with three RR & B Technicians who had no issue with it.

Never check with vehicle off !!!!
Never check at less than four minutes running !!!
Never fill with vehicle off !!!
Never fill above full level !!!
Never allow the fluid to go below low level !!!

Here is how I do it:
Start vehicle, do paperwork or general cleaning for four to ten minutes.
Check level, check idle speed and if idle speed is to low, reset idle and do paperwork or general cleaning for four to ten minutes then recheck fluid level.
Level comes out perfect when done this way.

One Technician said there are three rules for checking fluid level:
#1. Never check without vehicle running and after four to ten minutes.
#2. Never check without vehicle running and after four to ten minutes.
#3. Never check without vehicle running and after four to ten minutes.
Oh and Don't forget rule one.
You might guess that he has a sense of humor.

Your knowledge and personal stories are a great help.
Thank you.
