Can anyone recommend a business in Sydney that has experience/expertise in repairing and restoring wood veneer.

Any leads much appreciated.

Peter,

Do you want someone to refinish the existing veneer or does the veneer itself require attention?

If you just need refinishing, contact RROC[Aust] NSW Branch member David Peterson at Peterson's Smash Repairs, 22 Flora St, Kirrawee Ph 9545 1885 who regularly does this work. Dave may also be able to refer you to a veneer restorer if this is what you need.

Check out musical instrument repairers and makers because our local wood man does both wooden instruments such as pianos and car stuff.

Hi Peter, there is an excellent article in the RR pages or archives which explain completely how to do it yourself. I did the stripping etc myself and it was quite simple but unfortunately I couldn't spray the finish on to the standard I wanted and had to get an expeienced painter to do it for me. The end result is super but you must ensure quality materials are used.
