Hello All, My LH rear wheel is locking up and not brake related. 1977 Silver Wraith ll (LRH32854) The wheel seems to bind and makes a clunk noise whilst driving, more prevallant whilst slowing down or turning left. When car is on the hoist the wheel turns a little then locks, I removed drive shaft from the yoke and the wheel turns freely. But with the drive shaft in my hand still connected at the diff end it's all out impossible to turn. Is this diff related or drive shaft trunnion. (perhaps) There is no whine from the diff. I thank you in advance for your replies Kindest regards, Eric |

If the car is in Park position the wheel will not turn. Also, your car may go into park when the key is removed no matter where the gear selector is positioned. This safety feature was on the late 70's cars. My 76 and 80 have the feature. |

Hi Robert and thank you, I never thought of that, key in ignition but not turned on and gear leaver in N.. On the hoist. But it's locking up and clunking whilst driving so I'm thinking it's a diff or bearing problem. |
