G'day everyone,..... Is this a good deal?
For sale, Flying Spares S U carburettor conversion kit for 1974 - 1986 RHD Rolls Royce Corniche. Couldn’t go ahead with the conversion. Cost over A$6000 to land in Brisbane but will accept $4000 which includes the professionally reconditioning of the S U carburettors. Now down to,.... This SU conversion kit was bought from Flying Spares UK for my 1982 Corniche but the project did not proceed. It cost over $5000 to get it to Brisbane but will sell for $2500 or best offer. Graham. |

This is to convert *from* fuel injection *to* carburettor? If so, the price is probably reasonable. To buy the parts (in Australia) from a wrecker might be marginally cheaper, but then you'd have no guarantee of quality + add in the price of all new gaskets from the UK + shipping. P.s HI :-) My car's currently in storage while I sort out other things but I will get around to bringing it round to yours one day. Jeff

Spend the money on a LPG conversion, far more kinder for piston rings bores and much more. Do a petrol oil mix startup once a month for valve guide lubrication. |
