The relays click nicely on my Piper Window Motor. I have freed up the shaft. There are two blackish wires on top of the winding that are not connected to anything (PIC). Each wire WAS the same length until I cut one of them too short!

Are these suppose to be soldered to the winding? Are they suppose to be joined to each other? There was some brown tape
around the winding that has been removed in the PIC. There was no trace of a previous solder.


Any help much appreciated!
