I will be installing a mirror backup camera on my 78 Shadow II. Would anyone know where I would find the wire(s) (and the color) that goes from inside the car to the rear reverse lights? Would I have to tap in at the gear selector at the steering wheel? Any guidance to save some frustration would be much appreciated!

THANKS!

Richard

Dear Richard,
You are better off using the wire that feeds the bulbs in the boot of the car. That will give you a short run of wiring and also very convenient.

Have to agree with Omar. The auto elec that wired my camera wired it to the reverse lights - when the reverse lights come on, the camera comes on.
