Did you notice a white or yellow paint brush mark on the lower section of the spring?
Yellow is heavy duty, white is standard rating.

If you're in the US, there is a spring maker who's been making them to spec for a long time now. I had a set I ended up selling to another member a while back who installed them on his Shadow (and who will probably end up chiming in).

Download the RR & Bentley Parts, Repair, Restoration & Other Resources Compilation and search on "Coil Spring Specialties."

Hi Janne

Thought I'd chime in. This link to an earlier thread may be useful. It's one I started when I was replacing my rear springs:

http://au.rrforums.net/forum/messages/17001/16457.html?1438295588

The springs I fitted have 11 coils. I found the rear to be slightly high at first but with time they have settled down to the perfect ride height. I believe the OEM springs have 10 coils. Flying Spares springs appear to have 10 coils, judging from the photo on their website.

If you are not in the US you may be able to find a manufacturer of speciality springs local to you. I once enquired at a local main dealer for the OEM price - $650 each. Needless to say I declined their offer.

Yes, I asked local spring specialist and they could not help and also here in Finland the local OEM price is 400-500 €, so any suggestions to crossover part are gladly taken.

Weight of car tested 5100

Front Rear
F/R dist 0.52 0.48
F/R lbs 2652 2448
F/R wheel lbs 1326 1224

I found an article with the weight distribution and tested weight.
Looks like the front springs are 1326 lbs load
Looks like the rear springs are 1224 lbs load

I one knew the desired compressed spring height I would think a suitable substitute could be found.

Best
