G'day everyone,....

I remember seeing a wicker picnic set that was sold as RR merchandise from RR, They were included with certain models, I also have seen a video on them but can't seem to find it.

In the video they show you can still get them at swap meets etc,....

Anyone know if anyone has one for sale?

Any chance of getting one?

Graham.

Graham,

Ebay is how I pieced mine together. I bought bits as they turned up. By chance I had the correct silverware pattern & will get the knives engraved. I have the correct basket but without the leather RR patch. Easily copied.

Bonhams auctions also have had one or two over the years. Visit auction house sites and set up alerts on your computer.

Be prepared to pay. If you need pictures just dm me & I'll send them when I'm near the PC.

Happy hunting!

G'day everyone,....

Thanks Jeff I have seen that one when I did a search just today, its an old auction from 2015 and sold for just over 2K!

But yeah, I wouldn't mind getting one, not sure I could justify that price though,.....

I think it might be cheaper to have a bespoke one made, I'm sure there are wicker workers in Ireland and the UK who could easily replicate the originals for a fraction of the RR price. Then collecting the various cutlery & china items could be done separately.

G'day everyone,....

Well I put out an inquiry about the picnic set on FB RR page and got a response from a guy in the UK who has one,... he gave me his e-mail address so I contacted him, just waiting on a reply.

I hope this works out.

Fingers crossed!

Larry,
I have been having a devil of a time finding wicker under seat baskets for my mini's. Can you recommend a good wicker person?

Why not get the wicker basket made in Thailand?

I've just been googling and came up with a number of bespoke wicker product manufacturers. I liked the look of some of the picnic baskets at www.sommersetwillow.co.uk. I've never had any dealings with them but no doubt they could make up a basket to your specifications. As for a suitable picnic basket for under Ross's mini seats perhaps a sandwich sealer bag would do the job!

My bad Glen, another site to look at would be hastingwoodbasketworks.com.

Larry, thanks

I'll have to look into those.

Vlad,
Maybe a Thai one too.
