Dear mates, This coolant tap, from SRH25085 was leaking, but not at the hoses junctions. I assumed the o ring needs to be changed but where is it located ? And also what other maintenance /testing can be done on this part ? Thanks, have a nice day.

Sorry I've got the o ring location (see picture XB62203) Still, are there other things to do while this part is removed (like lubrication or ..) Thanks ! |

Hi Jean , check out this photo it may provide the clue ( I reckon your unit splits?.). https://www.ebay.ie/itm/NEW-ROLLS-ROYCE-SILVER-SHADOW-HEATER-VALVE-UD12956/163760015787?hash=item2620db89ab:g:kasAAMXQROxRdmBg |

It will most likely be the diaphragm inside that is shot. Buy a heater valve for an MGB, drill out the rivet that keeps the housing from turning on the base, twist the housing to split it and remove the diaphragm. Do the same with yours and reassemble it with the new diaphragm from the MGB one and save yourself £75. SRH8505 SRC18015 SRE22493 NAC-05370 www.bristolmotors.com |
