I was demonstrating balancing a coin on a running RR Shadow engine to a friend. Then we tried some other stuff.

Patrick R,

I filmed a companion video but it was pretty late and dark and didn't turn out well. I will film it tomorrow if I get a chance.

What I filmed was me trying to balance a piece of 50 x 100 x 150mm timber on the valve cover of my diesel MK1 VW Golf. Did it balance, ... not a chance.

Ross, quick fix. Clamp the engine mounts up tight then pump the tyres up to 65lbs, vibes are gone on idle!
More noise though.

Patrick and Patrick,

I was eventually able to get it to balance, but I had to turn the engine off.
