A body shop has a set of RR rims with locked caps (like in the photo). The problem is they do not have the key to remove them. Any suggestions how to get them off? PS. One cap has a key cylinder. The two holes are for a hook to remove the covers. I may be able to supply keys from the chassis number. Check the flap in the boot. The one that covers the tool kit. There is a small pocket made for storing keys. You could get lucky. |

The ones with holes are removed with a curved end pick. There should be one in a pocket on the back side of the fuel tank cover panel near where the jack is stored. Once it is pried out an Allen key removes the bolt holding the cap on. (3/16ths IIRC) The keyed one can be opened with a set of lock picks, once out the tumbler can be taken apart and a key cut to fit it. SRH8505 SCR18015 SRE22493 NAC-05370 www.bristolmotors.com |

I have replaced my locks with ordinary bolts on the Bentleys. The last photo shows what the lock cylinder looks like. |

On my 82 Spur, I pulled back the carpet cover in front of the jack, but there is no "pocket" on the back side of it (the side where there is no carpet and faces the jack). My carpet is definitely original. Am I looking at the wrong place? I can't check the "other" car as it is 130 miles away. Richard |

Yes. But not usually the ones in the first picture. But new owners can order what they like. If you order the build history it will say what it left the factory with. Aboit £60 ish. Many wheels were changed at the dealers or later though. |
