I have my replacement engine sitting on the shed floor, in order to mount on the engine stand I thought I'd remove the flexi drive plate and the cast aluminium transmission adapter. Then mouth the engine stand direct to the V8 block.

I withdrew 2 of the 8 flexi drive plate bolts, both came out with some resistance and the last 1/4" of the threads damaged.

Do these bolts need to be replaced? Is there some form of thread locking?

Thanks
