This resulted in water leaking into the cabin and weakening the carpets. They are in a frail condition and I am afraid that they might tear. Is their anything that I can put underneath to make it harder and stronger. Maybe silicone or the black rubber stuff that is sprayed on the back of pick-up trucks. It is very close to undercoating and might bleed through and stain your carpet's fiber. Have you tried talking with a "rug merchant"? People who deal in older Persian Rugs maybe helpful. I would be concerned that the cure maybe more expensive then new carpets. Best of Luck, Bill
