Gabriel; I would be uncertain that bed-liner would work. It is very close to undercoating and might bleed through and stain your carpet's fiber. Have you tried talking with a "rug merchant"? People who deal in older Persian Rugs maybe helpful. I would be concerned that the cure maybe more expensive then new carpets. Best of Luck, Bill
