Hi everyone, just a quickie: I wish to remove the trim panels either side of the centre console together with the top horizontal trim that the centre piece of the wooden dash tucks behind - an ideas? Do not want to explore and damage but seek info first. 1974 version.Thanks.

Hi Adrian

The drivers side lower trim panel is held by four clips. It's just a case of removing the parking light switch and carefully prising the trim off with a plastic upholstery lever. The photo below shows the position of the clips. I always do a visual check to make sure no non-standard screws have been inserted by previous owners. Also, where the panel lips over the wooden dash it may be necessary to use a thin spatula to break any seal that may have formed over the years.

Cannot help with removal of the top roll or passenger side panel, but at least this is a start.

Geoff

Hi , thanks for that but I haven't made myself clear. I am referring to the side panels of the centre console and the trim at the top of it that supports the bottom of the dash.
Regards Adrian
